I renamed wasteland.d81 to wasteland.d64 and the first line of the wasteland.cmj file looks like the following.
X:ntsc,reu16384,driveicon
I swithched to Classic mode... BTW you can not be using custom drive roms like jiffydos, at least that is what I have found, and it did load the game, took a bit since I am sure it was loading the code to the REU but it did load successfully. Let me know if that works for you.

Let me know if that works for you. That worked!. Thank you very much. Just renaming the file to d64 did the trick. I had to use the stock firmware and not Project Caroussel, as trying to load the image gave an error about a REU of 1MB was needed. I could list the disk directory though. After boot TheC64 without Project Caroussel, it warked without problems!.

Thanks for great 1.5.2 update. If there will be in future updates possibility to change Sid to 8580 (also via cjm or name file change) and normal aspect ratio (full border display) as default or at least configurable for Classic mode then thec64 will be a ultimate c64 machine.

Great update! Thanks! The joystick switching feature is the best. I arranged a retro gaming event, between lock-downs, in June, and the preparation for getting the _J1, _J2-extensions right for every game really took a long time. This update makes it redundant Also, a game like "Raid over Moscow" (does it GET more 80'ies?), starts in one port, but the gameplay is in the other. Also love the PET Snake. Break and see the Basic code. And I also like the fact that there are more VIC-20 games to choose from now. Saw 8-bit Show and Tell demonstrating the RAM expansion feature and monitor with this update.

Hello.
I updated the firmware to 1.5.2 and found it to have very slow response, at times I thought the computer had crashed.
I upgraded from 1.3.2, (I think it was .2), and when I had that it was fine, things happened when you moved a direction or pressed a button. Now there is a big delay. Is anyone else getting this?
Also, is it possible to go back to an earlier version of the firmware?

I like firmware V1.5.2's update. I accidentally broke the joystick that came with theC64 full size in November while playing Rebounder. It probably might be repairable anyway (The handle came off). At the moment, I am using theC64 mini's joystick on the full size. It has been in one piece for 3+ years now. I'm still using it today. The latest feature (Joystick swap in Classic mode) is really handy for swapping joystick ports electronically. It saves having to add the _J1 and _J2 flags.
There are still a couple of issues I feel that should be fixed:
- SID: 6581, perhaps an option for 8580 reSID for the modern C64 composers and games made in 1987+
- Screen full height aspect ratio. The height for the full screen on PAL needs to be shifted 2 pixels. My Samsung 2011 all in one LED TV doesn't support the complete full height. There are probably other people using the same one.
- File save bug in C64 classic mode: The major issue for me at the moment is the file saving bug on true drive/accurate disk. If you save a file via accurate disk from a M/C program, de-tatch the D64 and load something else in. Then re-attach the file, it ends up as a 0 HELLOWORLD *PRG file name - therefore the file is lost.

How do you do... a Soft Reset and a cartridge freeze with THEC64 Maxi...? It only show on THEC64 Mini RGL update web page how to do it on THEC64 Mini using a USB Keyboard, there is nothing on how to do it on THEC64 Maxi/VIC20 on its RGL update web page. |

1) zugriff auf den Drucker Port ( USB Umleitung ) auch die Anderen Ports werden nur Bedingt Unterstützt ( Disk Laufwerke 8-9 ( USB Stick Zuteilung )) !
2) Kopie Programme sind nicht Kompatibel ( Ausnahmen Alte Fiel Kopierer ( Bedingt ) )) -
3) Direkte USB Ansteuerung durch Basic V2.0 Über Sub Rutine .
Alles im Allem wehre somit ein C64 / Vic 20 ein echter Hammer gewesen mit Massentauglichkeit
Denn wenn man es auch als Steuergerät voll nutzen könnte , würde der Verkauf anziehen und die 5 Millionen grenze Sprengen ;-)
das wehre ein Update 1.6.2 Super

Can you please speak in English, this is a English forum, I do not understand...? I have translated it but I do not know if it all correct... RGL will never add printer support or extra disk drives, but alot of this can be done in PCUAE now, you can edit files and copy and paste them using Linux Mode, you can now use VICE Mode to do the other things you can not in the carousel. |
