One good this about the SNES mini was that it came with 2 controllers. They also work on NES mini and Wii U via wiimote. Might also work on a Wii but not tried.
I also have a NES mini and if you've not had the pleasure, it comes with 1 controller and a very short lead... Extension leads are out there tho. Pad also works on Wii U via wiimote. I put mine back in it's box and use the SNES pads instead to save wear and tear.

I have the original SNES,never really got into the games, got it years a go cos the Mega Drive at the time didn't have Street Fighter 2 on it. I like the Nintendo DS and 3DS. I have them.I was a Sega man.. I do have to say thanks to Nintendo for making the PlayStation prototype with Sony cos thats why Sony made PSOne.

Not forgetting Sony used the Sega/Mega CD as a starting ground to see how well CD would fair. As a Sega man 1st and when it comes to the SNES, Super Ghouls'n Ghosts is king! Has to be the NTSC version mind as the PAL one was cut down, luckily it's the NTSC version you get on 3DS & Wii U. If you like 3DS and just in case you missed it, SEGA 3D Classic Collection - Argos Exclusive! If you have a real 3DS your find Power Drift will blow your mind, best looking 3D in a racer. And having a hard copy means if your machine dies it will run on another. Link: www.argos.co.uk/product/6014674

On a side note to this, i can get hakchi to install the nes driver when my C64 mini is connected, but it still does not recognize it enough to do anything else that is needed?

LOL !! Seriously .. No matter how stupid or petty it seems downloading snes roms is not legal for a start... Even ones you already own can be dubious as they have probably been hacked in the first place Then hacking into the mini snes to put them on to the console is probably iffy as well.
All stupid I know.. But if the Devs openly allowed and advertised the fact you can do this this and openly aid you in the process it would open the doors to all kinds of Law suites That's why you can only put saves on the console and not whole games.. I will bet that making it easy to add whole games to the console WONT happen. It will be a hack or nothing on such a commercial product .. Its like Microsoft showing you how to add illegal downloaded games to your XBOX
Of course this is going to the extreme .. We all do it .. My point is they wont do it for you..

Back in 1998-early 2000's HMV were selling emulation CD's for C64 & ZX Spectrum containing over a thousand commercial games on each disc, not demo's but the same commercial cracks you can download today on the interweb. All the big names included from System 3, Elite, US Gold, Ocean, Firebird, Factor 5 ect... So yeah, HMV got away with downloading and then selling them on by the bucket load. You could argue the £9.99 asking price for each disc was to cover the cost of the CD, Case & Cover Artwork but nah! Any way HMV and all the lamers on ebay selling DVD's full of retro commercial gaming go down before the rest of us. Not happened yet and doubt it ever will. And another thing... Retro Games LTD force us to rename every game we might add by external means to a name of their choosing, meaning they take ownership of everything you play on a C64mini be it legal or not.

I have created many Launchers that I gave away free over the years from the c64 Arcade launcher to the Amiga Tribute DVD's all click and play.. These are my latest incarnations for my mods but even free is still a little naughty .. Mod Launchers Preview

Who says adding FTP would allow you to hack the Main menu ? But if it means you could then they probably wouldn't .. Which maybe is why they haven't perhaps
Lets not get the wrong end of the stick here … It would be great if we could add our own games. Im just telling you why they wont make it a feature.

Adding FTP is no different in my eyes than allowing Choose from a selection of disks on a USB memory stick, "they state that in there future upgrade". In adding FTP and to certain directories will allow people to customize the carousel too there liking, i have this feature right know as my mini boots from my usb stick. If my usb stick is not inserted it boots the normal C64 mini filesystem. As for the wrong end of the stick...i love other people sharing there opinions, banter, etc.etc...Bring it on we all want the same thing. ;-)

LOL I was just responding to the original OP who just bought a Mini Snes
The Developers did take note and have done their best to ensure you cannot do that to the C64 mini. Perhaps I just should have posted that

Forgive my scepticism but I am … Are you saying you have a custom carousel that boots from a USB stick with your own games ? Or is this just the saves feature via USB … Any chance of a screenshot of your custom carousel if you do happen to have one .

Each to there own fella.. some of us don't like the simple things in life..We like doing things differently. and TBH i have what you have but much better. The challenge in life if is not what you have, but what you can have, but if your happy with what you have with the mini then fine. ;-)

Don't get me wrong I admire your talents.
I know somebody working on a custom boot launcher which should boot from USB and all the user should have to do is copy and paste the pics and D64 files to their folders. For a second I initially thought had been achieved by someone else but its not quite the same thing.

Would help a lot of people out ;-)

I actually don't think the data pins are connected to anything on the C64 Mini. If you look on the top side they terminate at through pins. On the back side, they terminate at tiny solder pads. I suspect that they should connect somewhere but I haven't been able to determine where they go yet. There is a hacker who modded his C64 mini UART connector to connect to those pins for rx/tx and only needs to plug his into USB.
