i found a error with pcuae manager the favorite picture 1 says 10 instead of 1 Can you please describe the problem you have a little more, maybe add a screenshot? If you select "favorites 1" and add a new infoslot for it, does the cover say "Favorites 10" for it? I get the correct cover for all favorites views.

I import a lot of games to my PCUAE Manager from another carousel. All these games have a special joystick button configuration. It is possible to reset all joystick configurations of all games im my manager to the standard-configuration? I don't want to reset the port 1 or port 2 as primary joystick. I can add a tool for it in the tools menu, I'm thinking it can reset all joystick configs for all games in the current view, but preserving the primary joystick configuration (1 or 2). So if you like to do it for all games you just select the "All games" view.

I think he's talking about the .tsg file, it say 10 on it, the cover image says Favorites 1 on it, its does not matter its a generic name, its 1 with a 0 so looks like 10, its made from the name of the slot.

its the picture itself thats wrong its saying 10 instead of 1 weird mine has 1 on mine... I think its to do with him using the Dutch Language in PCUAE. I have not done anything with the Dutch info slots yet, so they do not have the new info slots so thats why your getting a Fav 10 image not Fav 1 image. He is making a Dutch Info Slot file and was having a problem with its cover image saying Fav 10 on it, there is no problem with PCUAE or the manager. You need to explain more what the problem is... .`i found a error with pcuae manager the favorites picture 1 says 10 instead of 1` this makes it sound that there's a problem with PCUAE Manager when there is not, all you needed to do is change the cover image from Fav 10 to Fav 1 or if thats not working in the Dutch language then change the dutch_pcuae_mode_script.sh script and change the tsg files in dutch_info_game_slots folder, I could of told you that if I knew that was the problem...? Change this bit in `dutch_pcuae_mode_script.sh` to the new tsg files the Dutch Info Slots use, the script deletes the Info Slots tsg files in the game folder then copies the English/Dutch/Turkish tsg files to the games folder when you switch languages. This is a copy of the english script so I have updated the Info Slots tsg files in it already. echo "#------------------------------------------#" >/dev/ttyS0 echo " Loading English Info Game Slots files..." >/dev/ttyS0 echo "#------------------------------------------#" >/dev/ttyS0 mount -o remount,rw /tmp/pcu rm -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/Favorites_1/0FAVORITES10-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 rm -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/C64_0_to_G/0C640TOH0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 rm -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/C64_H_to_R/0C64HTOR0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 rm -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/C64_S_to_Z/0C64STOZ0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 rm -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/VIC20_0_to_G/0VIC200TOG0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 rm -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/VIC20_H_to_R/0VIC20HTOR0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 rm -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/VIC20_S_to_Z/0VIC20STOZ0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 sleep 1 cp -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Options/languages/English/english_info_game_slots/0FAVORITES10-ms.tsg /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/Favorites_1/0FAVORITES10-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 cp -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Options/languages/English/english_info_game_slots/0C640TOH0-ms.tsg /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/C64_0_to_G/0C640TOH0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 cp -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Options/languages/English/english_info_game_slots/0C64HTOR0-ms.tsg /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/C64_H_to_R/0C64HTOR0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 cp -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Options/languages/English/english_info_game_slots/0C64STOZ0-ms.tsg /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/C64_S_to_Z/0C64STOZ0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 cp -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Options/languages/English/english_info_game_slots/0VIC200TOG0-ms.tsg /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/VIC20_0_to_G/0VIC200TOG0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 cp -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Options/languages/English/english_info_game_slots/0VIC20HTOR0-ms.tsg /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/VIC20_H_to_R/0VIC20HTOR0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0 cp -f /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Options/languages/English/english_info_game_slots/0VIC20STOZ0-ms.tsg /tmp/pcu/Carousel_Games/Games/VIC20_S_to_Z/0VIC20STOZ0-ms.tsg 2>/dev/ttyS0

Do you really need to copy those in the scripts now? Why not just have them in the PCUAE Manager and export them as any other entries in a carousel? If you like to replace one infoslot in the manager for one of the standard views you would still get that original one copied, replacing your modified one, right?

Oh... When it switches to Dutch in PCUAE it needs to be able to change the language on the carousel too, that what thats code is for, otherwise the carousel(its menus) and info slots are in english not Dutch and the rest will be in Dutch(PCUAE Option Menu, Carousel Changer and Mode Changer).

Hi,
i have problems with pcuae1.7.6b8 again. Not the only-back-screen-bug, when i load the firmware i see the Retro Games above the vic 20 logo. After that, i see the blue project carousel usb logo and then it loads the onboard firmware on my vic 20.
The installation of the usb stick on my pc is standard. Install PCUAE-Manager 2.2.2 and put ther 2.3.0.1 in the folder. After that, i install the pcuae1.7.6b8 and export hte standard games. After that on the next step, i install the vice mode.
@spannernick: Can i help, when i upload my files (packed) on my usb-stick to find the problem?

can you make an option when PCUAE has a new version and downloaded it the removes the old installer ? otherwise you have a lot of installers after a while Sure, I'll add an option in preferences for it in the next version of the manager.

Yes, i add the Standard Games from the Manager: C64 and VIC20 Folders. Is this wrong?

What is the possibility of adding the Mega Cart option to the Vic options in PCUAE? VICE has the mega cart option when loading the image but it does not work when you save it as a snapshot so I am unable to add it to the carousel.

I have a question - I've seen now that when I open the PC version of PCUAE it asks to download an update for the Windows app and also for the USB key.
No problem with updating the Windows app, but, if I accept the installation of the USB key version, won't that change my settings and carousels? Thanks!

No, if you install it over the top of what's on the USB stick already then it will not change anything only updates the files on it only, it does not change the games on the carousel or modes or anything so no settings are changed.

New release of PCUAE Manager: 2.5.0New features:
- Renaming of favorites gamelist views. It is possible to rename a favorite view by pressing the “...” button to the left of the gamelist view dropdown box. The menu items for adding/removing a game and for clearing the favorites view are also renamed. The custom name is stored in the pcu.properties file.
- Generate infoslot screenshots based on games in game view. When creating an infoslot for a gamelist view that contains 16 games or more the Manager will create screenshots with 16 thumbs each (randomized) based on the available screenshots for games in the view. If there are less than 16 games a default screenshot is used instead.
Enjoy!

Hello lantzelot, I tried to customize the default infoslot with the appropriate option in the preferences, changing only the "cover" (I use a custom one) and the description of the commands translated into Italian, but when I try to save the changes, the description remains the same by default in English, while everything else is correctly changed. I also tried the new rename function of the gamelist view and it works fine!

Hello,
Since updating to New release of PCUAE Manager: 2.5.0 and 1.8.0b1. The C64 loads the splash retro games screen and takes a lot lot longer to boot than the previous version? I am only loading favourites 1 (159) and I removed the other games using the PCUAE manager.
Also what is the difference between USB Boot (Option 9) and the Script (option 5?) When I try to restore the NAND to default I get an error that it can't find the backup.
Thanks

I use the 1.7.6b8 and it works to start the game carousell. But i can't swap the joystick port with hold menu button on the c64 joystick and press A or B. I check if i am in c64 mode and test it mon 1.6.1 and 1.5.2. i can't get a message, that the joystick port is swap. How can i use it? EDIT: I think the joystick does not work in games completly. when i start the 1.3.2 firmware the joystick swapmode with CTRL and Arrow left works and show me the joystick swap message on screen. Here is my config, i test with sonic the hedgedog: imgur.com/BDEdkoo

Hi
PCUAE 1.7.6b8 works fine for me, but I can't get PCUAE 1.8.0b1 to work - the Retro Games splash screen appears and then the PCUAE spash screen appears but it just sticks/hangs on the PCUAE splash screen (I've waited a couple of minutes and nothing happens). I'm installing it from PCUAE Manager 2.5.0 and I'm installing it over 1.7.6b8 on my usb stick - is this correct or should I make a clean install of it?
This is what's in the log folder - log-1b-pcuae-mode-changer-startup-by-user-ok log-1b-pcuae-mode-changer-startup-ok log-2a-pcuae-mode-enabled-ok log-2b-pcuae-mode-starting-up-enable-screens-ok log-2-pcuae-mode-checking-mode-startup-ok
I've been using earlier versions of PCUAE up till now and love it, so any help is much appreciated.

you should do a clean install i tested that way Thanks, but just tried a clean install and still doesn't work for me (installing it from PCUAE Manager v2.5.0) - it doesn't get past the Project Carousel splash screen. I was running PCUAE 1.7.6b8 update before this which worked fine. Any ideas?

I was running PCUAE 1.7.6b8 update before this which worked fine. Any ideas? Just downloaded PCUAE Manager again from first post in this thread and did a clean install of PCUAE 1.8.0b1. It did load up, but still not working correctly. This is what I did - First try - it loads the firmware. I run the fake update and it does load into PCUAE. It does load other game lists, but when I tried changing to a different carousel the screen goes black and stays that way. Second try - it loads straight into PCUAE automatically. I try again to change to another carousel; I get the message that its loading, but again it eventually goes black and stays that way. Third try - I get to the PCUAE splash screen and it then goes black and stays that way. Fourth try - the same. Could it be anything to do with the autoboot start-up script - is there one that has been added to my firmware by a previous PCUAE version that is confusing the current start-up? Is there any easy way to check what start-up script is on the firmware? Another thing that was odd - when in PCUAE there was no 'shutdown device' option accessible rom the 'spanner' icon. Anyone else had this? Any ideas much appreciated.

Sorry that your having so much problems with PCUAE, It looks like I accidently enabled TheCarousel v1.0.5 and not the default carousel, if you are having a problem changing carousel versions then go into USB://Carousel_Games/Options/PCUAE_Mode and then delete only the files that have enabled at the end of them then it should boot up in TheCarousel v1.5.2 or v1.6.1 when you put your USB back in the machine. I need to check out what going on there cause my version is working ok, PCUAE can be a pain in the butt sometimes... the next version will have a change in Autoboot Mode so you will need to deactivate it then reactivate it again after you have updated to the next version, the next version will be PCUAE- 1.8.5fb1, I will add a bf to the version number so you know the release is a bugfix version. It looks like its not loading the Carousel Changer or all most did, did you see a blue screen with it saying Loading Carousel Version Changer or Loading Carousel Changer...?

Just found another small bug in 1.8.0b1, in 1.96 version of retroarch mode the carousel can sometimes be seen flickering through the front end when the joystick is moved to select the emulator options. It does not do this on the previous version of pcuae1.7.6b8.

mmm Yeah I have being having a problem with the Firmware carousel popping up, I think I sorted it now so hopefully it will stop doing that so that could be the problem with the carousel changer and if you see it behind retroarch.
