My Idea is I want to use one update for everything so you don't need to change or remove things from your USB Stick, so you could have.. So abit like Grub, a boot menu so can choose what you want to do. Because USB Mount uses the same update 9.9.9 as your X Windows Mod. I hope you understand, your better at this than me.. Is the Flags in TheC64 Carousel the64 or in the emulator files(thec64emu.rgl/vic20emu.rgl), does anyone know..? And when did they spit the carousel and emulators apart from one and other, must of when they made the TheC64 Maxi..? Or two new icons in the X-Windows system, one for each SID model? And an additional one to set the root password.

Good Idea can you added them icons, when you have time... Just found a game that don't sound right on SID 8580,it's the music on Spy Hunter, the music is like its garbled so maybe some code is missing. if I test the game in C64 Vice 2.4 the music is ok on SID 8580 RESID...? I tried making a menu but they are bash script menus and it looks like you can't use bash so #!/bin/bash and the start.sh script is #!/bin/sh. sh stands for shell script...?

I see its using sid6581 and Resid I wonder if you change that to SID_MODEL_8580 would it change the sid it's using, can you try it JJ0..?Yes that works: reSID: MOS8580, filter on, sampling rate 44100Hz - fast And: View AttachmentHere's the c64emu.rgl with 8580 enabled: View Attachment. Works for me both on the Maxi and the Mini. You can compile it: - on your Orange Pi using the Orange Pi OS.
- on your Commodore OS or any other Linux distribution if it supports systemd-nspawn as described here but instead of the rootfs.img use a directory with the rootfs for the 'A20 OlinuXino Lime' or similar (e.g. Cubieboard/Cubietruck) board. You can basically use any rootfs that's meant to run on the A20 or H3 I guess.
- To compile follow the instructions in the README and first do './configure' in the redquark-sixtyfour directory as that will tell you if you miss any required packages
Could you make a C64emu.rgl file with True Drive Emulation (AD) enabled, JiffyDos don't work without it, Vice freezes..?

hi. is it possible to compile a more recent version of vice? i'm not able to run almost anything from usb, only the oldest titles. I have no problems running games and that from USB File Loader or Media Access, it depends on what the disk image is you are trying to load..? If you need my help let me know... .. ? No the Vice snapshots would not work in the Carousel and there no code with a new Vice, they only used Vice 2.4, remember this was made in 2016,(TheC64 Mini)it tool RGL 2 years to make THEC64 Mini so when it was released in late 2018 it was 2 years old already(RGL, made TheC64 Mini cause they didn't have enough money to make THEC64 Maxi, that was down to all the console scams on Indigogo site, they should of made a prototype and used Kickstarter) so they used the 2012 version of Vice that was out at that time, only way at the moment is using the Windows X Mod but it runs slow. TheC64 Maxi is just a updated version of TheC64 Mini, it uses the same Carousel and same Vice but they added stuff too it like Media Access so you could load multi disk games and made sure it could run at 60 or 50hz so they didn't need to make 2 devices like TheC64 Mini PAL and NTSC versions. What I would like is to be able to use the other emulators in Vice using Vice 2.4 like xpet, x128 and xplus4 but through the Carousel, properly one day.. Once we get that then we can look into updating Vice but we need the source code for the Carousel from the C64 Maxi but it only been out 6 months. The only group that could ask for it and get it(they got the source code for the C64 Mini) would be Mod My Classic but they are busy with other projects right now so THEC64 is way down on there todo list so will be a while, they are working on 2 project at the moment, Lunar and Eris.
