The Latest version causes my Maxi to lock up following FW update

On anther note, it's great how easy it is to use the Carousel tool with this. So easy, not sure why anyone would risk flashing their FW with this (non-permanent) tool available. Only

The Latest version causes my Maxi to lock up following FW update ok weird the maxi must use more memory when running the Carousel cause of Classic Mode and the other extras it has, will have to make it smaller and keep posting it here until it plays the wav on one of your Maxi's Carousel,so will need everyone's help here doing this. Whatever you do DO NOT flash this to your firmware it only works from USB.

Just don't permanently transfer it to the Maxi?

Just tried the latest, it works, no freezing. Its the original Retrogames carousel music No its starts like that but you have to wait for it to change to the next tune... if the Carousel music is louder then its worked. . like this... After 1:10 it changes to the next tune.. I can make it shorter..? The guy that made the Carousel Music made music for Codemasters like Fruit Machine Simulator.. Matt Gray.. I do like the Carousel music but hearing it over and over is a bit monotonous.

Hello Span; TheC64 maxi runs perfectly with the new WAV file. Might be a bit too loud for me but ok. The wav is the same volume as the popping sound you hear when moving the your joystick and the yellow box,I found you can't hear the music properly cause that sound is to loud when you turn up the volume and my wife hate the sound and finds it very annoying. I might change it to a click soon. All you hear at low volume is "pop...pop...pop...pop..pop pop pop pop pop" when you move to different games, even the ocean.wav is louder than the menu.wav music.

What wife want ... a click sound would be a great improvement indeed

# Added a click to replace the popping sound the flip wav mades when moving the joystick, just disable it with a # if you like the popping sound... yuk.. mount --bind /mnt/games/music/click.wav /usr/share/the64/ui/sounds/flip.wav I have lowered the music but you might not still hear the click when you move the joystick but it's there, if you turn off the music you will hear it its very low so its not intrusive but if you want it louder just let me know and I amplify it..? The click sound comes from this ... The C64 Game Launcher for Windows(it does work on Linux but in Wine) I use to host them on my site before it close down by the host, you probably recognise the buttons.. I still have them, they were made with AutoPlay Media Studio 8.

The volume is perfect. Now I don't know how the click sound on my PC but on the maxi, it's kind of fishy. You hear it sometime and it's more like a plip than a click. I will check the WAV tomorrow on the PC.

I will check the WAV tomorrow on the PC. I was thinking of recording the space bar or a key sound on the c64 keyboard and using that, the sound might not sound right cause it been mount over the top of the flip wav, it was a ogg file so had to convert it to wav. I think I use the wrong file... hold on...

I used the wrong ogg file.. sorted now,, 1.05 released uploading now.. Cleaned up the folders now so when updating it and puting it on your USB stick, remove version 1.04 completely and replace it with 1.05, all files and folders are in Carousel_ Games folder now, only start.sh and fake update theC64-9_9_91.bin is on the root of the USB now. TIP: Add TheC64MaxiGameTool.exe to the Carousel_Games folder on your USB stick and run it from there and then it will read the games in the games folder on the USB stick, you can then add and delete games you want or don't want.(you can always make a shortcut to TheC64MaxiGameTool.exe on your desktop,I have.. ) Unzip it to the root of your USB Stick or SD Card if you're using a USB SD Card reader, and if you want to enable or disable things edit the start.sh script with Notpad++, this is what I use to edit it on my PC (Windows 10)or you could open the zip file and copy.. Carousel_Games start.sh theC64-9_9_91.bin on the root of your USB drive. The games are now in Carousel_Games/games/,if you have added games to v1.04 already just copy them to the games folder in the Carousel_Games folder to add them.

I have a custom cjm file so I can use my inext controller with games loaded from the USB. Is it possible to include this custom button mapping in this Carousel mod? So I can use my inext controller with the new mapping for games loaded from the Carousel? Or does it need to be done on a game by game basis by changing the tsg file with the cjm content?

Yes you can, use TheC64 Maxi Games Tool and put it in the Carousel_Games folder then run it from there on Windows(or add a shortcut to it) and pick a game you want to edit and click on edit button and at the bottom right where it says Input is where you can change the joystick buttons, edit them to work with your controller. Or you can edit the games TSG file, it just a cjm file renamed and holds more information, they are in Carousel_Games/games/

Iv'e just found out the TheC64 Maxi Games Tool can no longer be placed in the root of the usb drive, it won't populate from the games if you do. It needs to be in the Carousel_Games folder now.

Thanks for adding more games and updateing some TSGs. I see that you replaced my Nemesis version with a different one - I'm totally fine with that! - but you left my snapshot in there too. You might want to clean up all folders from all unneeded files. Thanks for the constant updates!
Any special game requests from anybody that I can look after during my long home office days?
