Hi Davy, Nick,
I just tried this 4.3.0 basic with 4.3.0.4307 update version and I have a problem.
I used Carousel Changer to select The400 on TheVic20, it reflashed and reinstalled PCUAE then loaded up great.
The games are not easy to start as the joystick is mapped a bit differently. Left fire starts, Right fire is menu, Triangles are 2 of the ring buttons.
Directions don't work with the TheVic20 joystick, so it does not seem playable.
I cannot launch CTRL+f2 to get back to Carousel Changer, it just locks up.
Please advise how I can get back to the restore toolkit.

go to settings menu and go to restore toolkit v2.0 there you can restore nand Gr Wizart  and iam bussy with joystick |

I can't get to te settings menu, it just freezes up.
I Tried CTRL+F2
Which CTRL + F key do you recomnend I try next?

i updated restore toolkit please let it update autoboot always because its changed and restore toolkit does some things after reboot use right klik and save as if link not works E dit: Please use option 6 in restore toolkit to select you original machine when you used v2.0 and you have THEC64 Maxi because there is little change in THEC64 machine code because ntsc version addedand update PCUAE first UpdateRestore Toolkit V2.1 here |

Hi, I put the latest update, everything seems to work but if you change the game list it doesn't work, the music becomes enchanted and after a while it reloads the first list (favourites). (The Vic-20).

Hi Davy,
I installed the latest version.
I went to menu page 2.
I swapped nand to 400 on the TheVic20.
It boots nicely to the The400 Mini carousel.
I try to start Asteroids, it starts but the joystick controls do nothing.
I start Asteroids and press buttons until it is 2 player. Player one, joystick does nothing. Player 2 works and can shoot and move.
What is going on?
Please can you advise how the TheVic20 joystick can play player one.

Hi Davy,
I applied the 8357 update but it still does not work.
I tried Asteroids and the media access Donkey Kong cartridge. Both only respond when it is player 2.
Player one Joystick does not move but the other buttons do some things.
Do you have TheVic20 with a TheVic20 joystick running The400?
I have the USB in the back and the Joystick on the right in the port closest to F7 / Front of machine.
Can you test a game and verify it is playable?

I try updating pcuae-update-v4.3.0.8357. (the-Vic20)
Nothing has changed, nothing has changed as soon as I launch the game list change mode, some of it goes black, some of the music stops and after a while it reloads the starting carousel.

Davy,
Left fire launches Asteroids, triangle starts play then the rest is broken for player 1.
I can get the game to start but player one will not move or fire with the joystick.
Launching a 2 player game the 2nd player can move and fire.
I will try removing PCUAE drive tonight and try the "pure" The400 firmware on the TheVic20

Ps: Apparently it's the fault of the AIO Games OneLoad package, removing it works, maybe too many games? With the old version I had everything worked. I'll do some more tests. |

I confirm too many games block the carousel change game list. Removed Oneload and everything is ok now.
