Yes I am creating addon packs - New releases due to TheC64 would be a good category.

Great job. Yours is far more elaborate but it reminded me of the first real simple game I wrote for the 64 as a kid. I had completely forgot about it until I read your message. In junior high I learned to program in basic on the Apple II and when I got a 64 I wrote a safe cracker game based loosely on the one on The Price Is Right. You had to pick a number between one and a hundred and the game would tell you higher or lower and you only got so many guesses. The picture of the safe was made out of Of Petsci graphics and if you guessed the right number the door would swing open. Stupid little game but I remember my older sister's husband having a great time trying to crack the safe.

Thats sounds like a good memory, just like a THEC64 does too. I always remember my first program, it was on a ZX81 in 1981, i just potted a dot firing from a ship, it amazed me

That's part of the beauty of retro gaming. I love to see how far a game can push old hardware in graphics, sound, and game play. New releases for the 64 or other machines still give me that thrill. I remember things like being blown away by the ship in the hanger scene in raid over Moscow and the realistic sound and flight characteristics of it. I remember thinking how cool the helicopter blades looked in Raid On Bungling Bay, or the digitized audio to the Ghostbusters song and the bouncing ball and lyrics. Space Taxi was the first digitized speech I heard on the 64 and it amazed me. The great graphics and really good ports of Zaxxon or Arkanoid on the 64 from the arcade were so cool. Heck, half the fun back then was seeing a new game in the arcade and waiting anxiously to find out how good the 64 or amiga port was.
I think many programmers today are rather sloppy and unimaginative because they have essentially unlimited ram and processor power to play with. I wrote and ran a BBS for the 64 mostly in basic back then, but I was forced to learn machine language in order to speed up certain routines such as reading text files from disk and spitting them out to the 300 baud and later 1200 baud modem. Trying to figure out how to pass information back and fourth between machine language and basic was a challenge. If I remember right I spent many nights until daylight trying to get that stupid routine to work, and when it did I couldn't believe I did it, or how much faster it was.

I remember wanting star glider, I read all the hype, and learned how to play from mags, but i never got it, i dont know why, then the other day i found it on archive.org for the 64, just fired it up to see if it ran, and i shall enjoy playing it. when you say raid over moscow I just ran beach head and it was fun shooting at the plans

I can add this to the PCUAE 1.5.0 Games Pack so it's on the Carousel in C64 0 to G Gamelist folder, if you like but I will need a cover png for it and 2 screenshots...?

It'd be cool if newer free games over the last twenty years, or permission was given by authors for newer games that they don't sell anymore, were put on separate carousels listed by year, including any demos or such that also came out that year. There's been a ton of great original games as well as remakes or enhancements of games in the last decade or two that make it better or what it should have been in the first place. The arcade game Scramble or Commando comes to mind for starters.
