TheC64 doesn't have a separate Audio Out, does it? The reason I was asking is because I was hoping I could connect it to a computer monitor instead of a TV, but then I realized that wouldn't allow any audio.

No it doesn't, so you would need an HDMI-audio-extractor. Also available from e.g. AliExpress,

I was looking up HDMI to HDMI+Audio converters, but I was wondering if I'd have to worry about increased lag with that.

HDMI is really DVI, just without sound, HDMI came from DVI, My old Goodman's TV has a DVI-I connector and a cable that has a HDMI connector at the end of it, the cable came with the TV, so HDMI has been here for years just as a different connector, so is very close to VGA too well close to DVI-A, if your monitor has a DVI connector then you just need a DVI to HDMI Cable but does depend on what DVI it is. You can get a Mini HDMI2HDMI and a HDMI2VGA, you plug the HDMI2VGA into the the HDMI2HDMI then the HDMI2VGA(it the same as the one on here but has to be a HDMI male connector on it, not female) into your monitor and that works, it in another post(old) on here about it, If I find it I post it here.. DVI-I (integrated, combines digital and analog in the same connector; digital may be single or dual link) Goodman TV DVI-D (digital only, single link or dual link) My Monitor thats a Philips 220SW9FS/05. DVI-A (analog only) www.avadirect.com/blog/displayport-vs-hdmi-vs-dvi-vs-vgaen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_InterfaceA little bit of history there.. I was looking up HDMI to HDMI+Audio converters, but I was wondering if I'd have to worry about increased lag with that. It should be fine but the only problem I see is if the monitor your using can do the resolution, I do use a converter with mine but its a Mini HDMI2VA so I can see it on my desktop on Windows 10.
