This part of the forum will get more sections when TheC64 gets released. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or are happy with TheC64 Mini, maybe you planning to buy it when it comes out, what you think about it..?
Would be nice to see a full sized version and complete, all we have had so far is motherboards(C64 Reloaded and Ultimate 64) to fit in your own case.
What would you like it to be able to do,and what should it have..?

I’m definitely getting one. The Mini will stay under the TV for running programs and playing games. The full size will be better suited to programming and trying things out.
I might have to look at getting a wireless HDMI setup for it.

Can't wait for the full-size one, just to experience typing on a petscii keyboard once more :-)

I certainly want to get the full size machine. I'll probably get two: one to keep stock and the other to mod into a PC keyboard and use with my "Commodore" NUC - basically just an i3 NUC running VICE full screen. ;-)

Once I get the full-size machine, I'll flog the Mini. I have no need for both taking up space.

I'm getting one! The mini is great fun but I can't wait to have a version with a keyboard running through HDMI.

I would also buy one... but I would take any bet that it will never come. They are not even willing to maintain the product they have already released. Boy, I HATE people promising a thousand things and then turning their backs to their customers the very moment they took their money. They promised a the big machine, failed in producing it, selling off what they already stocked on parts as this Mini-Frankenstein and let people behind with a firmware thats nothing bur crap... not even TRYING to cover it up. „Hey guys, we are closing our forums and are off. Just buy the rest of our junk... see you later on Kickstarter with the next cool product we will never deliver!“
Did I mention that I HATE guys like these?

I was considering getting one. After their seeming abandonment of the mini however I have minimal trust for them and won't buy one.

I have a Mini and while I am impressed with the main unit itself and the fact it works pretty much out of the box, I am not impressed with the joystick. The build quality is poor, which is a shame as the joystick should be an important trigger for those nostalgic memories and I just didn't get that.
It feels flimsy, has poor action and importantly, has no micro-switches! If they do go on to make the full size C64, with working keyboard, then they must include a better, reproduced joystick.

Was looking forward to the full sized one but getting the feeling it might never happen. Pledged for the full sized one and the handheld looks like i only got 2 C64 minis. I cannot get other games to load on the Mini treid reformatting my usb stick and changing names but still struggle to get any loaded. I know im a nube and had a 64 in the 80's nothing since then. back then it was plug in and load this is a struggle.

I am totally stoked and waiting for one!
Requested Features: - SD Card Reader for loading software - Initial 'On' C64 mode when switch is turned on, or Press and hold a Key (I.E. C= Key) on power on to open into 'Carousel' mode for any built-in software - Built-in USB Hub (Could be located at the top where the expansion port was originally located - HDMI and Composite outputs (For that authentic feel!) for modern TVs or the good 'ol 1702 Monitor - Multi-Disk support (If Vice is used, providing access to the Vice Configuration Menu with C= + 8 or similar key combination so we can access the options)

I'm waiting too to be able to buy one. Is there any estimated release date? TheC64 should have: -SDcard -HDMI-Output -Boot into Basic directly, with carousel as an alternative. -Filemanager and Option for fastload -Keyboard with good Quality -a modernized housing like the design study -USB hub so that we are able to use 2 Joysticks and USB-stick at one time -possibility to swap Discs under Basic

I am very much looking forward to it's release. However, I've been thinking about it and, unless TheC64 offered some unique features that cannot be duplicated by the C64Mini I might have to wait on purchasing it. The C64Mini really is a nice little console and with a USB keyboard plugged in to it, it really does become a versatile and functional C64 emulator. The small form factor is also nice, as I can leave it plugged into the family LCD T.V. and not take up a lot of space.
When I think about it, all Retro Games has to do is tweak the C64Mini's operating system a bit, allowing for "power users" to manipulate some of the more common settings, like disk drive settings and perhaps the ability to connect retro controller and other peripherals. Because, apart from the tinkering you have to do to swap disk drive images on the fly and lack of "official" peripheral support, the C64Mini is a pretty cost-effective and easy-to-use Commodore 64 emulator (in my opinion).

Yes, it better definitely give us some access to the advanced options. I already have a Raspberry Pi but I'd rather support a good C64 product given the option.
