Hi!
In the Media Browser, I can select any .D64 on my USB drive. That loads it into the DISK DRIVE virtual slot.
However I can't seem to load .T64 (tape images?). The machine just plays an error sound and nothing happens.
Is the THEC64 full-size unable to load .T64 images?
I have Googled this but can't find any answer.
Thanks, Gray

Same here. And it's not only t64 files, it's also crt files (and p00 i suppose). I think it worked before I upgraded the firmware to 1.3.2. You can still load both types through carrousel mode, but it seems it won't reckognize them in classic mode now.

They still load in the carousel mode! Thank you!
I had not even thought to try that.

I just loaded 5 CRT cartridges with Media Access and they loaded fine and mine is on 1.3.2 amora...? weird, I try T64 next.
Tried T64 and they load fine...? weird, T64 files are just a file with a PRG file inside them, there not a copy of a cassette game, TAP files are.
So are you loading them in right..?
TIP: Open Media Access and highlight the game you want to load in the yellow box then press B button on Joystick to auto load that image, sometimes you need to eject the last image, just go down using the joystick and highlight EJECT on the image you want to remove and press fire to remove it.

Yes. It will not allow me to do that. I can select a .d64 image, and it mounts in the disk slot as it should. But selecting a .t64 or .crt is rejected with a short sound. And it is strange, because it works when I select the very same files through media access from carousel mode. I think I will try a factory reset, and see if the problem persists.

.... and nope. It's the same behaviour, even after a factory reset. It shows the files with icons for cartridge and .t64 files, but will not mount them. However.... it will load the files if I press the "B" button on the joystick - the one with the little rocket. (I assume that means autolaunch) It has to be said that I am already into the habit of escaping into keyboard with Shift+<- and using O,P,U,J and [Return] to navigate, not the joystick. In this mode selecting the .t64, .p00 and.crt files using [Return] does not work, but the joystick launch does. Well, sort of... I've noticed that the joystick assignments do not work the same way. I tested with the game "Gyruss", which comes as a .t64 file and has to be mapped to joystick 1 to work. It launches and maps the joystick correctly from carousel mode, but the joystick mapping fails when loaded from classic mode (using the "B" button on the joystick). So there are a few things here to iron out I believe.

Are you trying to press fire and its makings a donk sound, you can only autoload T64,TAP,PRG,P00 and CRT files by pressing B button (or B on the keyboard) ,it's the 2nd red button on the joystick(A,B,C Menu) it's the one with the rocket icon. Only Disk images can be mounted using the fire button, its says it in the manual..? AUTO-LOADING FILES FROM USB USING DEFAULT SETTINGS Browse to and highlight a file, then press FIRE to confirm selection. In the File loader, this auto-loads the selected file. In Media access, this inserts the file if it is a virtual disk file (d64, g64, d81, d82), otherwise press B to auto-load the chosen file. See Inserting Virtual Disks on THEC64 later in this chapter for further details about inserting.

Thank you, I didn't notice that.
It seems natural that if I can load a disk image in BASIC and do all the LOAD/RUN stuff, I would be able to do it with a cassette image.
But you have answered my question so thanks to you all!
