I just realised this is on cartridge,I was hoping the was a crt image for it out there, still looking.... so it will not work on THEC64 MAXI or Mini. WHAT IS THE MULTIMAX? MultiMax is the ultimate cartridge for Commodore MAX Machine (also known as Commodore Ultimax) game console. It contains all software titles (a total of 24, many with multiple versions) ever released by Commodore for this machine, selectable from a convenient power-on menu. A reset button is also included so that you do not need to power-cycle your precious machine to start a new game. Due to compatibility mode built into other Commodore 8-bit computers, you can also use this cartridge in other popular retro machines: Commodore 64 (all variants including SX-64) and Commodore 128. cartridgesMultiMax was created by Rob Clarke (software) and Michal Pleban (hardware) with the help of several other people – see the Credits section for details. The cartridge was presented on the Vintage Computing Festival in New Jersey in April 2014, and is now available for online purchase on this website. Look here... www.multimax.co/

Very interesting. But, how would this be usable on TheC64? Isn't the Multimax a cartridge? TheC64, or TheC64Mini has no cartridge slot to plug it in to.

There are loads of cartridge compilation images out on the net, some have quite a few games on them.

There is a eprom image of the it on the download page could that be converted into crt,it in .bin format..? I tried to convert the bin with cartconv.exe (from the vice emu distro): cartconv.exe -i multimax.bin -o multimax.crt -b -t easy Although the resulting crt can be loaded on thec64 and games can be started from the selection, all the games i tried out had garbled sprite data or the emu crashes... Maybe someone knows more about bin->crt converting, especially since the multimax.bin is 1MB, the only crt-type i found working is the easyflash type.

The MultiMax cartridge is not supported in VICE. The bank select logic is different. If some aspiring C64 programmer wanted to play with the menu program (or replace it entirely), they could make this cartridge work in VICE by switching to the EasyFlash bank select logic and turning this into an EasyFlash CRT. The hardware description is here: www.multimax.co/hardware/There's another possible way to make this work, too: the cartridge is basically just a series of 16K banks. You could break the file up into 16K sections, then individually convert each one to separate Mode 0 CRT files.

Try this: Multimax PatchThe TheC64 version need to be added to the carousel using the multi crt option. Game A will be Index 1 (I:1) and game B will be I:2 etc
