I suppose my first mini games console (aside from my handheld GP2X) was the MiWi. This was a cheap-o rip-off of the Nintendo Wii, which I picked up on a whim sometime around 2008. It came with 31 games, on three cartridges... these were the kind of games you now find on most rip-off game consoles today. It also came with a standard game controller and a Wii-type wand controller. There where no motion sensors in it, just a toggle switch that registered when ever you waggled the controller. The interesting thing about the MiWi is that it's the only mini console I've seen that can operate on a couple of AA batteries! Oh, and the controllers were wireless, using IR LEDs. The next mini console I owned was the @atgames Sega Genesis mini console. This one is the version that included the Mortal Kombat trilogy and I think I bought it in 2016. It's okay, I suppose, but certainly doesn't replace my original Sega Genesis. Strangely enough, this console uses IR wireless controllers, much like the MiWi and, apart from the Sega licensed games, the other "filler" games on this console are similar to what is on the MiWi. Earlier this year, I received a SNES Mini as a birthday gift. I played it a bit, when I first received it and liked it. But, Nintendo wasn't something I was interested in, so it's been sitting on the shelf ever since. And then this leads me to my C64Mini... the best mini console I have in my collection. As gaming consoles go, it's second only to my GP2X handheld. And most of the games I play on my GP2X are Commodore 64 games, too. Anyway, that's my collection of mini consoles.

Agree with you about Nintendo, never been a fan myself Really loved my GP2X! Great little hand-held, I replaced a Tapwave Zodiac with it, anyone remember that one?

Have to say though, although not a Nintendo fan, I really like using my son's old DSi XL to play Spectrum games! Shame it can't really do C64.....

Nope, I can't say that I have ever heard of a Tapwave Zodiac. Up until the C64Mini, my GP2X was the best emulator console I had. I guess technically it still is, as I do play a few of my favorite Genesis and Intellivision games on it, too (which the C64Mini doesn't do). But, for the most part, it's either used for playing C64 games or music. I also have a video cable for it and do hook it up to the T.V. for full-screen gaming, from time to time.
