Look for Project Carousel USB for the games now.. this is now locked thread. "MY 84 ADDED GAMES" by popcorn aka DiscoBear gamelist here: gurce.net/c64mini/existing_multi-game_disks#paolo_s_usb_file_loader_set[USB FILE LOADER Version] This is a collection of 84 games you can load directly with the new USB FILE LOADER included on the firmware 1.1.4. Just copy the files to a root of an USB Stick then plug&play. EACH GAME HAS "NO-LOADING-TIME" AND SPECIFIC KEYS ALREADY MAPPED! is.gd/paolo84usb or here[CAROUSEL/UART Version] - for those who already have the UART mod This is a collection of 84 games you can add to the carousel of your C64Mini. With firmware 1.1.4 they increased the 100 item limit of the carousel so you can add all of these without problems. Short instructions inside the ZIP file. NOW THE CAROUSEL CAN DISPLAY UP TO 150 ITEMS!!! (Maybe more, i will try to add more games sooner or later to verify its limit.)"The actual limit of the carousel items are 150, just tested." - popcorn, hereis.gd/paolo84uart or here

Little confused... All game files are in the usb root and are not showing up in the carousel. Using the lastest firmware. So how does this work? Can you get test drive/ii to work?? Love to have those games working. thanx

You have to mod your Mini for that. Two ways: connect 3 wires from Mini, via cheap USB adapter to PC. Other way is not intrusive, but it could be complicated more: boot from special USB stick. 1st way is not that hard like it sounds. More about it here: gurce.net/c64mini/moddingIn the meantime, use other version (usb fast loader), just like other games from stick. Difference here is they work instantly (snapshots of loaded game, just like in carousel).

Hi there, does anybody know, if there're alternative download-links for "Vinny Mainolfi's collection" mentioned here ? All Files from freeola have been removed. best regards, Hammi

For those of you who just found this great pack, here's and easy way to get this great collection on the carousel without modding your C64 at all! Get Paolo's UART version from the first post, extract it to the root of you USB drive, and then get this little file: usbmount.zip (671 B) and extract the contents also to the root. Plug the drive into your C64, click the wrench icon and select "System Information" It'll offer you to update to a fake 9.9.9 version, accept the update and the carousel will reload, now showing this game collection instead of the originals. This change will only last until you turn the C64 off, once you turn it back on, you'll go back to stock, and you can trigger the fake update again if you want. I'm working on a chooser application, so you could have multiple folders like this and pick one, if and once I have something usable I'll post a new thread. The update file was taken from jj0 "Custom Firmware for mod without FEL or UART", all I did was change the script so that it "bind mounts" the USB folder over the stock one. It also creates an extra folder for save states if it's not present and mounts it over the original one too.

Everything works great except menu music, which is still the original one instead of that 'ocean.wav'. I've tried to rename that file to 'menu.wav', but still there is original music audible. Do you also face that issue?

Yes, this doesn't replace the music, I'll add the option to the one I'm working on but you can do it now editing start.sh and adding this line after the other two that start with mount --bind: mount --bind /mnt/ocean.wav /usr/share/the64/ui/sounds/menu.wav johno75, I don't have a maxi but it should work on it.
