Can THEC64 MAXi be hacked at all yet..?
If you just playing around with THEC64 MAXi and see what you can hack on it,can it use FEL-Mode or if you connected to UART post your findings here..
If you have managed to change the games on the Carousel you post about it here.

I saw in a fb thread that Jay Dalus already managed to hack it via FEL mode (or was it UART? Can't remember), so sounds like all the mods with the mini will still be possible with the full-sized :-)

The FEL mode hack will require a different kernel i believe.

You don't need to solder for the UART method, I just bend the 3.3V and 5V pins of the serial2usb converter away, stick it with the remaining RX, TX and GND pins into the UART holes on the Maxi's PCB and put tension to make good contact on it with a rubber band. Works like a charm.

I use this serial2usb connector, bending the 3.3V and 5V pins away: And then put the RX, TX, GND pins in the UART holes with the rubber band: You can buy the converter for example here. You need to be sure that RX and TX are next to each other, and GND on one side. If GND is on the side of RX (like mine) you insert the converter at the 'empty' side of the PCB, and if GND is on the side of TX the you insert the converter on the side of the PCB where the chips are. But either way, check/ensure that GND connects to GND, RX to CPU/X-UTX and TX to CPU/X-URX. And quadruple-check that the 3.3V and 5V pins are not touching the PCB.
